Trent England -- Readings from his play, Our Home in the Country
Friday, July 26 at 5:30 p.m.

Trent England is a published short-story writer and has twice been nominated for the Pushcart Prize. His play Notice received its first staged reading in May, and this is the first public reading of Our Home in the Country. He lives in Salem with his wife Denise.

This Salon will be held in our air-conditioned Reading Room.

 About the Salon Series

The concept of the salon emerged in 17th-century France and quickly became popular throughout Europe.  These gatherings of like-minded people were meant to refine tastes and knowledge through the exchange of talents, news, and ideas.  (And, we hasten to add, a few were rife with irony, romance, and black humor!)

Salons are held rain or shine: In cases of inclement weather, or if the presenter requires electricity for their presentation, we meet in the Athenæum's Reading Room.
No tickets or reservations are required, but reserving helps us plan for seating and refreshments.
Join us to keep cultural discourse alive and well in the twenty-first century!
